she has undertaken a funded residency at AAAD in Prague, a site–specific

Charlie Morrissey
Dance Artist Animateur in Residence
Trained in dance and choreography at Dartington College of Arts,
Charlie Morrissey has been researching, directing, performing and
teaching nationally and internationally for over 15 years.
One of the places he locates his practice is within the dance genre
of contact improvisation. He cites the body as 'an expressive
container of its experiences and perceptions of the world'
as the central premise of his work. He regularly initiates research
and performance projects that investigate this idea in new ways.
Earlier this year he began exploring links between his artistic
practice and Dr Edmond Locard's 'exchange principle'. During this
exhibition he will be working with Fabrica staff and volunteers
to develop and share these investigative processes with gallery
visitors through a programme of informal discussion and drop-in
workshops. Further details...
For more information visit Charlie Morrissey's project space
in the gallery.
