Blood and Ink
A series of activities inspired by the exhibition that explore sensuality, materiality and storytelling through drawing, writing, discussion and film.

The Colour of Pomegranates
Wednesday 29 April, 8.30-10.15pm

Film screening and drawing activity. Film runs for 79 minutes.
With barely any dialogue, this sumptuously beautiful film depicts the life of Armenian poet Sayat Nova. Using vivid and unforgettable imagery, director Sergei Paradjanov interweaves landscape, religious iconography, music, costume and the poet's own work in a mysterious, transporting visual choreography.
Audience members will be encouraged to draw their responses during the film. Materials provided.
