Stour Valley Arts Midsummer Picnic at King's Wood
Midsummer's Eve, Saturday 24th June 2006 7pm
Come and watch the sun set in Lukasz Skapski's Via Luceum Continens on the longest day of the year.
Bring a picnic, rug, family and friends.

Children's Art Day 2006
Saturday 1st July, 2-5pm
Be inspired by Jacques Nimki's delicate wall drawings and installation.
Get completely carried away with an afternoon of doodling, sketching and drawing activities for all the family.

Drawing from Life with artist Jane Fordham
Monday 3 & Tuesday 4 July 10am - 3pm
£22.50 per day.
Booking essential. Refreshments provided, but bring a packed lunch.
A unique opportunity to draw from the human form in and around the installation.
Taking a lead from Nimki's work, gain an insight into his method of collecting information and its translation into large scale work.
Drawing boards, but not easels, will be available. Please bring your own drawing materials and paper.

Digital Picnics
Friday 4 August 1-3pm Friday 11 August 1-3pm
Booking essential Refreshments provided.
Using the culinary potential and folklore surrounding everyday plants Alex Sutton Vane, who runs Workshops for the Imagination in Brighton, and Jacques Nimki have created two video and collage workshops for parents and children (7-11 years old).
An informal way to explore different art technologies and make new friends.

Every day
Creative minds and hands can get busy in The Corner, Fabrica's hands-on area for inspired gallery visitors of all ages and abilities.
Basic drawing materials are always available, and three special drop-in activities have been devised for the Woodlock exhibition.
Planting Memories
Buttercups, daisy chains and stinger nettles, record your stories and earliest memories of plants, flowers or weeds from home and abroad.
Scent Sense
A series of sensory games and experiments using flowers, odours and noses.
Toeses and Roses
Tiptoe through the exhibition, feel the grass beneath your feet and get rhyming.
