Support our work

Help us make sure that everyone no matter their age or background can continue to enjoy the arts at this time.

Enabling everyone to enjoy the benefits of the arts has always been key to our mission.

At this time we feel it has become even more important to ensure we can continue to bring joy, playfulness and opportunities to connect with others to everyone, regardless of age, background or circumstances.

Help us use the arts to shape a happier, healthier, more connected society during and beyond lockdown. For all of us, but especially for those who are the most vulnerable.

Chomp at Fabrica

“We would love more  of these workshops as  they make our children dream

and become the best they can.”

CHOMP participant

Chomp at Fabrica is  a creative holiday lunchclub aimed at low income families with children under 12 years old, providing a free healthy lunch and creative activities during school breaks. The wider Chomp Network coordinated by One Church, is replacing the Easter lunch clubs with food hampers delivered to over 100 families in receipt of free school meals.

Artist and Fabrica Chomp facilitator Helen Goodwin has designed and planned activities which can be done at home using household waste. We are making small packs of materials which include some materials, an activity sheet and videos to share creative making ideas which will be included in the food hampers..

If you would like to support this project,

one Chomp Activity Pack for a child from a low income family.

Woven By Us

"Thank you so much for the art materials,
I'm going to make a start on weaving this afternoon.
Your kindness means so much to me  "
- Woven by Us Participant

Woven by Us is a free textile workshop sharing hands on, creative activities such as weaving and felting.  Facilitated by artist Sally Bourner, the project provides a space for adults to make social connections, learn new textile skills, reduce isolation and improve wellbeing.

The workshops, based at Woodingdean Medical Centre, are not currently open, but we have been distributing parcels of materials and weaving kits to participants so that they can continue making at home. Each kit includes a selection of materials such as felting wool and calico and equipment such as a weaving loom.

If you would like to support this project,

towards the cost of materials and equipment for one Woven by Us Making Kit

for an older person at risk of social isolation.
