DISCUSSION : Conversation Piece – Feminism and Care
Time & Location
About The Event
Caring has for a long time, been at the centre of feminist debate. From the first wave of feminists who sought emancipation from their roles as mothers, sisters and daughters who care for the men in the family, to the intersectional feminists of colour who put the question of care of women for women prominently in their agenda. Join Lorenza Ippolito and doctoral candidate Elona Hoover from the Centre for Spatial, Environmental and Cultural Politics to discuss compassionate resistance, radical care and autonomising care as a collective practice.
INTENSIVE CARE: a week of talks, films and events focusing on our relationship with caring
From 23-27 October Care(less) will be exhibited at the Castle in Lincoln as part of Frequency Festival and will not be available to view at Fabrica. Instead we’ll be looking at care in its broadest sense.
This event is FREE but places are limited so we recommend that you reserve yours in advance.
You can also reserve a place by talking to a member of the gallery team during gallery opening hours or by calling the Fabrica office on 01273 778646.
Online bookings will close 1 hour before the event starts - unless ‘Sold Out’ there is likely to still be tickets available on the door.
Donations welcome: add a donation ticket on top of your existing ticket(s) or follow this link to become a member.
