About The Event

For May’s Going to See Culture Together we head to the Brighton Dome for an evening with the festival guest director – Rokia Traore. A musician of incredible stylistic range and depth. Kicking off the festival with music from her album Né So (the word for home in her native Bambara), a highly energised and personal work. In it, she explores home as a place of rootedness from which her creative curiosity can take flight, and a place of collaboration with likeminded musicians.
