About The Event
Free Event 11.30-4pm
Going to See Culture Together is a monthly outing to a cultural venue. For September’s session, the group will head out together via bus, over the rolling hills to Eastbourne. We will visit the Towner Gallery to see Phoebe Unwin’s exhibition, ‘Iris’. Unwin’s paintings are rooted in personal experience, with each becoming a distinct exploration in the physical and emotive aspects of looking. The exhibition presents a wide spectrum of colour, in oil and acrylic paint: varying translucencies and palette ranges trigger the different kinds of associations familiar subjects might provoke.
We will consider our impressions with summer drinks and reflect together, in the Towner Cafe (complimentary refreshments provided)
The group will meet at 11.30am at Sea Life Centre Bus Stop K (Bus 12X). Should you prefer to travel directly, please let us know by ticking the appropriate box when booking. The group will arrive at approximately 12.45pm and meet anyone traveling directly in the reception. The Towner, Devonshire Park, College Road, Eastbourne, BN21 4JJ.
So we can entertain a larger number of people, we invite you to donate no more than £3 to the event on the day.
