About The Event

Join us for a live online discussion that focuses on the areas of Moulsecoomb and Bevendean, and how these parts of Brighton developed in the post-war era.

Led by artist and researcher Lorenza Ippolito, and joined by local historian, Dr. Geoffrey Mead, we will share some facts and figures of our shared local history as well as some of the memories and experiences of our city's residents, and the relationships between city and suburb from the past to today.

Inspired by Fabrica's summer exhibition, A Simple Act of Wonder, by artists Walter & Zoniel who have developed an exciting two-part installation by working with residents in Moulsecoomb and Bevendean. One part of the exhibition is installed at Fabrica gallery but presented online. The other part is found in Moulsecoomb & Bevendean in the windows of resident's houses, on public buildings and pathways.

This event is FREE but places are limited so we recommend that you reserve yours in advance. Donations welcome: add a donation ticket on top of your existing ticket(s) or follow this link (hyperlink to fabrica.org.uk/forever-fabrica) to become a member.

This event will be recorded for promotional purposes, we ask participants to be aware of this before joining the event. We will not tolerate participants taking images or recording the event without consent. You will be muted upon arrival and Fabrica staff will go over Zoom's functions which we will use during the event.
