ONLINE DISCUSSION: Conversation Piece – Brighton’s Interfaith Community
Time & Location
About The Event
Fabrica's summer exhibition, Kiosk by Wolfgang Weileder, is an architectural sculpture that integrates the materials of one religious community (Christian) with the iconography of another (Islamic). These are two of the three monotheistic religions which spread through the Mediterranean. Together with Judaism, these religions have shaped our histories and the way we relate to one another.
Nevertheless, too often we concentrate on the differences between these faiths and not on the connection, similarities and ideas which tie them together. By focusing on our rich cultural diversity, Brighton’s Interfaith community is a hub of learning, appreciation and understanding of the incredible variety of faith in Brighton and how they can aid and support the wider community.
