About The Event

Going to See Culture Together is a sociable monthly outing to a cultural venue, led by facilitator Jonathan Quarterman.

In September we will head to the new Brighton Centre for Contemporary. Here we will discover the artwork of Brazilian artist Alexandre da Cunha.

Duplex showcases his interest in cultures of consumption, reuse, materials, and art history. Central to da Cunha’s art practice is the ready-made and how objects are affected by place, time and the results of labour.

The group will meet at 1.30pm in the reception at Grand Parade. Jonathan will be there to meet you. There is a ramp entrance to the ground floor exhibition spaces and accessible loos on site. We will finish for refreshments at the Grand Parade cafe.
