About The Event

Going to See Culture Together is a sociable monthly outing to a cultural venue, led by facilitator Jonathan Quarterman.

In June we will be retracing some of the early calling points from the Pier to Pier art installation by RAPT. As part of this artwork, a bright orange bench is exploring the coastline, at part of Brighton Festival. The bench has started its journey in Brighton and finishes in Worthing. At each of its 10 stops, the bench will share an immersive story by local people from the location.

By the time we meet in June, the project will have moved a few miles down the coast, but we will relive the start of the journey, hear some of the stories and ponder 'what is it like to live on the edge? What keeps us balanced in turbulent times? What do we feel when we look to the horizon?'
