About The Event

Following the success of their first lockdown special “Drink and Draw” session, AMi are back with their unique online life drawing with a twist!

In response to the current exhibition, Earthworks, at Fabrica, this digital session offers participants the chance to experience the installation through our poses and an immersive soundtrack.

Artist duo "Semiconductor" use raw scientific data to create their installations. They invite us to marvel at the very language and instruments with which we attempt to record and make sense of the world around us. Models Tom and Frankie will be beamed to you live from Fabrica, their own flesh bathed in the spectacular fluctuating marbled wave-forms of "Earthworks". Together they will create poses reflecting the great forces of landscape formation- pressure, tension, motion and flux. As you draw, you will become aware of yourself floating in the great expanse of deep-time, whose song is hummed by the rocks which cradle you.

Book now to receive the sign up link (hosted on Zoom). We will send further instructions for the evening, and will have not one but two glamorous tech assistants on the night to ensure that everyone can connect seamlessly to our transmission. All you'll need to do is gather your favourite drawing materials, drink of choice and headphones if possible for maximum effect. There will be a chance to debrief and dance after the main drawing event.

You can also reserve a place by talking to a member of the gallery team during gallery opening hours or by calling the Fabrica office on 01273 778646.

Online bookings will close 1 hour before the event starts - unless ‘Sold Out’ there is likely to still be tickets available on the door.

Donations welcome: add a donation ticket on top of your existing ticket(s) or follow this link to become a member.
