ADMINISTRATOR P/T 

3.5 days per week on a permanent contract, starting April 2020. £19,637 annual gross full-time salary, pro-rata (£13,716) 

This is a permanent contract, starting April 2020. 

 

Working as part of Fabrica’s dynamic team, the Administrator is a key operational role, responsible for the smooth running of Fabrica’s office and building, building maintenance, office communication and administrative systems. The Administrator is Fabrica’s operational lead for Health & Safety, ensuring that policies and procedures are implemented effectively.   

 

Being well-organised and having good communication and people skills are the essential qualities we are looking for in the person for this role. The successful candidate will have at least one year’s experience of working in an office. Previous building/premises management experience is a bonus but not essential.

COMMERCIAL MANAGER P/T (MATERNITY COVER) 

 

4 days per week. £24,588 annual gross full-time salary, pro-rata (£20,260)  

Fixed term contract of one year, commencing 1 May 2020.  

  

Fabrica, centre of contemporary art in Brighton, is seeking a Commercial Manager to manage all aspects of its commercial operation. This includes an established venue hire operation comprising conference, wedding and other private party hires, corporate Christmas parties and launches. A retail operation is also in development which comprises a small gallery shop and an online shop. 

Working as part of our small dynamic staff team, and with Fabrica’s Trustees, freelancers and consultants, the Commercial Manager develops and implements Fabrica’s Commercial Strategy and reports on its progress to the Director and Trustees. Operational duties include managing all aspects of the venue hire and retail operation; managing a team of freelance event staff; post-event financial reporting and data capture and analysis. 

Having a passion for great service, being proactive, dynamic, organised, thorough and literate, and having a genuine interest in the visual arts and people are all essential qualities for the person in this role.  At least a year’s relevant experience (preferably within the arts) is required.

Front of House Fundraiser Volunteer

One shift per week, on weekends. Unpaid. 

During Exhibitions, on-going.

Fabrica is looking to recruit volunteers to support our fundraising efforts Front of House. This is a really exciting specialist role within our Front of House volunteer team, offering skills development in a key area of work in the charitable sector and within arts management . Equally, the role draws upon and develops transferable skills in marketing and communications, customer service and sales.
